New Earth observation partner leverages space technology to improve the world Nova Systems has made the bold move to collaborate with emerging Earth observation and data company Satellogic as their founding partner in Australia, giving Australian industry and government clients greater access to high-resolution satellite imagery and geospatial intelligence.

Recently launched on the US stock exchange, Satellogic has just received a $1.1 billion USD equity valuation.

“Satellogic’s objective is to have over 300 satellites in orbit by 2025, and they are seen as the technology disruptors,” Nova Systems Geospatial National Sales Lead, Garry Farmer, said. “

They have their sights firmly locked on being number one in the market, by aiming to be easier to deal with, price competitive and feature superior.

“We are thrilled to be the founding Australian partner and provide our Australian and New Zealand clients access to the best available satellite imagery and data to help them to see the world around them and aid in decision-making.

“The company’s ethos makes them appealing to work with. They’re on a mission to improve accessibility and affordability of geospatial data to help solve the world’s most pressing problems, including safety and security.”

The platform compliments Nova Systems’ existing technology offerings and allows the company to offer advanced situational awareness to Australian and New Zealand clients into the future. Founded in 2010 and now with 22 satellites in orbit, Satellogic is the first company to offer clients a dedicated satellite constellation providing the highest resolution imagery available 70cm.

Their satellites are backed by a market-leading cloud infrastructure and dedicated ground stations, delivering global insights to Defence and intelligence, Government and commercial clients.

The company designs, manufactures, and operates its own fleet of spacecraft, the Aleph-1 constellation, which delivers high-frequency, high-resolution multispectral and hyperspectral imagery including up to 60 seconds of full-motion video.

Satellogic is creating a live catalogue of Earth, while delivering daily updates to create a complete picture of our planet for decision-makers. Learn how Satellogic’s data improves decisions about commerce, conservation, and security at www.satellogic.com.
