Sharing is Caring

November 29, 2016 - East View Information Services, an industry leader providing foreign-language products and services to libraries in the academic, government, and corporate communities, is proud to announce its partnership with TIND, the innovation leader of cloud-based library management systems. The partnership empowers East View to offer robust new digital services to libraries, via the TIND Digital Archive (TIND DA) and TIND Institutional Repository (TIND IR).

Built on flexible open-source code technology originally developed at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), TIND DA delivers powerful tools for libraries to manage their digital archives consisting of manuscripts, maps, photos, monographs, newspaper collections and more. TIND IR will empower libraries to customize their digital deposit workflows and more effectively leverage their e-content, including publications, theses, and gray literature into unique community collections. Libraries will quickly benefit from TIND's highly scalable architecture, rapid ingestion of data for processing, cataloging features, and fast document retrieval to meet any institution's most demanding needs.

"East View Information Services has an excellent reputation of bringing unique and rare content to the academic community. The partnership with TIND is an exciting opportunity to also bring a modern, unique suite of services and platform to the same audience, and beyond," says Alexander Nietzold, CEO of TIND.

"East View is excited to work with this next-generation technology and offer customers new solutions that it makes possible," said Tammy Byrne Ziegler, Director of Sales at East View. "By working with TIND, East View will be able to offer customers more solutions for digitizing, managing, hosting, and preserving exotic language resources including manuscripts, research data, and more with a simple and cost-effective hosting service on East View's Universal Database platform or via a cloud service on TIND Technologies Digital Archive and Institutional Repository."

East View will lead the introduction of the TIND Digital Archive for digitized and special collections and the TIND Institutional Repository for management of publications and research output, as well as discovering new market opportunities for digital preservation using TIND technology.
