Subsidiary based in New Mexico, clientele is national

Albuquerque, N.M. – Unique Places LLC, based in North Carolina and New Mexico, recently formed a wholly owned subsidiary in New Mexico named Unique Places GIS & Design. The new GIS and design group will provide highly specialized GIS consulting, custom map production and other design services to better serve existing and potential clients from across the country. The new group will primarily focus on GIS services related to natural resource issues, but will also service other client segments including human and community services, transportation and business logistics.

The company’s mission is to “merge advanced spatial technologies with the power of elegant design to produce stunning and informative visual creations.”

Unique Places GIS & Design Director, Michael Scisco says, “We’re a one-stop-shop for those looking for a fully integrated blend of GIS and design services. If you look at the current GIS and design landscape of service providers, there are few GIS shops that provide comprehensive design services and there are even fewer design shops that have geospatial and technical expertise.”
