Sharing is Caring

Carlsbad, CA – October 30, 2017 – TC Technology announces Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) selects MIMS Mobile to streamline field inspection workflow.

One targeted improvement is GPS-enabling inspections to simplify data entry, improve quality, and create efficiency while complying with California Public Utility Commission regulation.

As the nation’s sixth-largest community-owned electric service provider, SMUD has been providing low-cost, reliable electricity for about 70 years to Sacramento County (and small adjoining portions of Placer and Yolo Counties). SMUD is a recognized industry leader and award winner for its innovative energy efficiency programs, renewable power technologies, and for its sustainable solutions for a healthier environment. SMUD’s power mix is about 50 percent non-carbon emitting.

MIMS stands for mobile information management system and is used every day by thousands of utility staff in compliance, engineering and operations departments to streamlines any type of field work by combining intuitive maps with forms.
