Dewberry Selected to Provide Analytical Services for Prince William County Service Authority
Firm to deliver professional on-call services for PWCSA’s Cityworks asset management system implementation
Fairfax, VA—December 5, 2017
The Prince William County Service Authority (PWCSA) has selected Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, to administer consulting services as the operations and maintenance (O&M) division implements Cityworks Asset Management System (AMS), a web-geographic information system platform that will support PWCSA in managing property and infrastructure. PWCSA is a water and sewer utility provider that serves more than 90,000 residents in northern Virginia.
The first phase of this multi-phased effort streamlines service requests and work order management for horizontal asset activities managed across dispatch, communications, collection and distribution, infiltration and inflow, and other groups within the O&M division. The firm will help facilitate communication between PWCSA and vendors as they work through business processes, future vision, configuration, integration, testing, and implementation. The asset management system will streamline processes and provide data-driven decision support for preventative maintenance, and reactive and corrective work order activities. Storeroom capabilities will be evaluated to help track complete chain-of-command for equipment and materials from procurement through use and end-of-life.
