Karl Kemp Joins Novara GeoSolutions as Director of Software Development

New geospatial solutions for the pipeline industry will enhance asset management strategies

Norwell, MA – Novara GeoSolutions (Novara), the industry’s leader in geospatial software and services for pipeline assets, today announced Karl Kemp has joined the company as director of software development in its Norwell, MA office. Karl will lead Novara's software development for a wide range of GIS, consulting and mapping services.

His track record of being able to analyze, design and develop software enhancements and new modules is outstanding and our clients will greatly benefit from this experience. As an example, he has previously developed an electronic system that allowed multiple regulatory forms to be produced from a single inspection, intelligently flagged failures, and helped predict impending failures. This design also provided new insights into substation assets and processes.”

Karl also has experience with designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide platforms that allow the rapid delivery of mobile data collection apps across a wide variety of users. These mobile workflows have been utilized for inspection, safety observations, job estimation, employee reviews, production tracking, and chemical handling which resulted in reduced paper, lower costs, and introduced new insights into business processes and operations.

Karl has more than19 years of experience in strategic and tactical planning, project management, process improvement, and team building. He received his master’s degree in business administration from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA.
