GeoNexus Technologies Releases Modern Upgrade for GIS Redlining Tool
Today GeoNexus Technologies announced the release of GeoWorx® Sketch Version 4 (Sketch). This release offers a modern replacement for its previous version, Sketch Version 3, which was based on outdated Java technology. The new version is built on HTML 5/JavaScript. As a browser-based application it is available on multiple form factors, allowing for easy access in the field or office.
This new release of Sketch offers comprehensive redlining capabilities that enhance communication and collaboration throughout your enterprise. This allows a distributed workforce to inform asset managers of changes made to the infrastructure as a result of performing inspection, installation, repair, or other maintenance activities. The tool is especially powerful because it eliminates the need for paper-based redlining processes and helps to streamline the GIS editing process by delivering georeferenced redlines to the GIS editors directly within Esri® ArcGIS® Desktop and ArcGIS Pro.
When asked about the release, GeoWorx Sketch Developer Xiaoqing Ge said: “GeoWorx Sketch Version 4 is a lightweight, yet powerful redlining webtool. With focused gestures and touch screen support, it’s easy to create Sketches using a laptop, tablet, or mobile device. I think our users will enjoy working in the new GeoWorx Sketch.”
