LIVERMORE, Calif., U.S./ CAPELLE A/D IJSSEL, the Netherlands | October 16, 2018 Sokkia announces the next generation of its software solution for total stations, robotics and GNSS rover systems — GeoPro Field 2.0. The update is designed to offer an improved design and user experience.

“Taking into account a wealth of feedback from GeoPro end-users, Sokkia has engineered a major software package update that includes a host of new features to further expand its capabilities to address the international market needs. It is a big step for the GeoPro line of software with benefits industry professionals will immediately notice,” said Ray Kerwin, director of global surveying products.

Among the new features include new options for field-to-finish automation.

“With GeoPro 2.0, operators can easily take advantage of new fast field coding for field-to-finish efficiency, as well as advanced stake out functionality for site engineers,” said Kerwin.

Additionally, new visual background map capabilities are supported by Bing Maps® as well as WMS (web map service).

“The update includes real-time imaging behind operators’ points, lines, and imported design files via the Bing Maps and WMS web integration,” said Kerwin.

Additional features include enhanced support for a broad array of file types including import from Autodesk Point Layout.
