Brian Gaze, AICP joins Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. as Director of Business Development

San Diego (July 29th, 2019) Mr. Brian Gaze joins Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. (Evari) as the Director of Business Development.

Mr. Gaze brings over a dozen years of planning and management experience to Evari GIS Consulting, Inc. Most recently, he served as a Senior Project Manager with Chen Ryan Associates, with an emphasis on transportation projects.

He will take the lead on maintaining and building upon Evari’s relationships with clients across numerous industries including Energy Efficiency, Telecom, Smart Cities/IoT, Investor Owned Utilities (IOU), Stormwater, Street Lighting, Traffic, Engineering, Environmental, Information Technology, Remediation, Planning, and a wide array of Professional Services. He has worked directly with municipalities across Southern California and looks forward to bringing value to Evari’s partners across the country. His management and planning skills will be key in leading the business development team through nurturing current relationships, building opportunities in new markets, and securing future work.

He holds a Master of City Planning degree from San Diego State University (SDSU), and has accumulated a wide range of technical and management experience in both the private and non-profit sectors. Throughout his career he has used the Esri technology stack (ArcGIS) to analyze and communicate complex concepts to a wide variety of audiences and stakeholders. He has also served as a GIS instructor at both SDSU and UC San Diego Extension.

On a personal level, he is committed to improving the built environment and public realm for people of all ages and abilities, with a particular emphasis on designing safe and attractive places for people to move within their communities.

The addition of Mr. Gaze completes Evari’s management team, comprised of Ari Isaak, Founder and CEO, Eva Friedberg, Director of Finance and Human Resources, Kevin Volz, Director of Operations, and Tyler Packett, Director of Information Technology.

With the addition of Brian, Evari will have a dedicated technical resource to support our clients during this phase of the project. Mr. Isaak began the company as a single-person firm in 2009, and following years of consistent growth, and now leads a diversified team of 24 full-time employees. Mr. Isaak will have the opportunity to focus on company strategy while Mr. Gaze delivers on the business development efforts. The Director of Business Development addition enables Evari to provide more senior-level attention throughout the entire company.


Mr. Gaze will work out of Evari’s San Diego office located in the heart of the North Park neighborhood.
