Firm will assist Direct Housing Assessment Team in analyzing potential temporary housing solutions for disaster-affected survivors

Fairfax, VA—September 17, 2019

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has selected Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, to assist the Direct Housing Assessment Team (DHAT) in capturing information and pre-operations planning to facilitate the transportation and installation of manufactured housing units at private, group, or commercial sites in disaster areas. Dewberry will also provide planning for other direct housing options such as rentals and multifamily lease and repair programs to assist disaster-affected survivors with temporary and permanent housing assistance.

FEMA’s Logistics Management Directorate (LMD) provides an efficient, transparent, and flexible logistics capability to procure and deliver goods and services that support disaster response and recovery for communities. Dewberry will help DHAT provide credible, objective, and timely information and analysis necessary to determine the direct housing assistance needed to address temporary and permanent housing requirements following disasters.
