Fort Lauderdale, FL, February 12, 2019 — Yesterday WISER Systems, Inc. showcased the new consumer version of its industrial location tracking system during a live demonstration at the IoT Evolution Expo.

WISER unveiled the new product line—entitled Find-ly—as part of a real-time demonstration tracking two cats’ locations in a home in Raleigh, NC. Using a new WISER mobile app, the demonstration showed each cat’s position, accurate within a few inches, and displayed their locations overlaid on the home’s floorplan.

Like WISER’s industrial Locator system, Find-ly drives value by generating highly accurate real-time location data. The inches-level precision of this data allows for reports based on entry and exit, immobility, or proximity to sensitive or dangerous items. Alerts could also be created based on erratic, out-of-pattern movements or lack of movement. As with WISER’s existing Locator system, the solution’s core function is to show where key items are in real time, allowing secure, immediate, and remote monitoring of those items.

“We’re thrilled to be showing Find-ly to the world, especially since Find-ly represents lots of interest in markets where we haven’t operated before, including pet tracking and wearables for older adults,” said WISER CEO Dr. Elaine Rideout. “We’re particularly excited about the business we’ve already lined up in the assisted living and older adult care market. Find-ly can do a lot to enhance care and protection for elderly patients and members of senior living centers.”

Initial partner and elder care customer plans for Find-ly include using the system to autonomously report whether patients are visited or checked-on in person, establishing alerts for exit of areas like memory care units, and registering health checks and fall-detection.

WISER staff first demonstrated Find-ly’s capabilities during a sponsored presentation at TagoIO Connect 2020, a collocated event with the IoT Evolution Expo taking place this week. WISER will also showcase its ultra-wideband (UWB) Locator solution throughout IoT Evolution, demonstrating new system features such as a geo-staking system that pairs GPS coordinates with WISER’s localized, inch-level data.

The IoT Evolution Expo is taking place at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward Country Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. WISER will exhibit in booth 629.
