Travel Smart with Real-time Traffic Information Built on Google Maps

Just the facts

Learn how Google Maps is a great solution to visualize transportation data and support mobile access. An average of one million vehicles cross the border of western New York State and southern Ontario, Canada every month. Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition (NITTEC) created a multilayered map to improve traffic mobility and safety. Vacationers and commuters in the Niagara Falls area can see any traffic and road issues that might stand in their way and make smart travel choices. Built with Google Maps, this application takes a complex mix of data from local, state and federal agencies and gives drivers a single view of their trip.

In this webinar you will learn

  • How NITTEC integrates a wealth of data from over 30 agencies in two countries and publishes them via Google Maps API, helping the public make smart travel choices
  • How to make real-time traffic data easily accessible to the public
  • How you can leverage Google Maps API and Google Transit data to provide better transportation services
