Telit Cinterion Expands Gnss Portfolio With New Dual-band Modules

Audio is not provided for this article.
Telit Cinterion, a provider of end-to-end IoT solutions, has broadened its lineup with two dual-band positioning modules: the ultracompact SE873K5-D and the flagship SE869eK5-DRK.
Powered by Airoha’s AG3335 chipset series, the modules target space- and energy-constrained IoT devices and applications that demand continuous, high-precision positioning.
Together, SE873K5-D and SE869eK5-DRK create a scalable path to L1 + L5 operation, allowing manufacturers to incorporate advanced correction methods and resilient positioning architectures without a hardware redesign.
When paired with Telit Cinterion cellular connectivity, both modules accept global RTCM correction streams, improving accuracy across connected IoT deployments.
More broadly, Telit Cinterion positions its role in a hyperconnected world around helping organizations connect, manage, and scale IoT deployments across devices, networks, and cloud-based operations.
SE873K5-D: Dual-Band L1 + L5 for Compact IoT
The SE873K5-D adds an L1 + L5 option to the established SE873K5 family.
It preserves the 7 x 7 mm footprint and pin-to-pin compatibility of the single-frequency SE873K5, enabling OEMs to elevate performance without altering existing hardware designs. Package options and the operating temperature range are detailed in the product specification sheet.

Multi-constellation tracking on L1 and L5.Resilience against interference and multipath.DGNSS via RTCM for submeter accuracy.Suitable for wearables, fleet management, and more. Two supply variants: minimal size or ultra-low power.Configurable profiles: tracking and drone modes.
SE869eK5-DRK: High-End GNSS With RTK and Dead Reckoning
The SE869eK5-DRK advances Telit Cinterion’s premium offering, leveraging the top tier of the AG3335 family and building on the earlier SE869eK5-DR by adding RTK positioning with sensor-assisted continuity. Package details and the operating temperature range are provided in the product specification sheet.
Key capabilities include:Uninterrupted, centimeter-level positioning.Maintains performance in weak/interfered/obstructed GNSS conditions.Integrated inertial measurement unit for dead reckoning.Accurate fixes through tunnels and urban environments.DGNSS for submeter results when RTK is unavailable.
The module is aimed at positioning-intensive use cases such as robotics, industrial automation, precision navigation, and other applications that require continuity when satellite signals degrade.
The 16 x 12.2 mm design follows an industry-standard form factor and introduces a proprietary extended pinout while staying backward-compatible. The additional pins enable future-ready customization, allowing OEMs to expand capabilities without redesigning products.
