Steve Lombardi

Steve Lombardi contributed extensively to Directions Magazine during a formative period in web mapping, location-based services, and enterprise GIS integration. As MapPoint Technical Product Manager at Microsoft, he focused on emerging web mapping platforms, XML web services, and the expanding role of mobile location technologies.
His writing reflects a time when browser-based mapping, wireless positioning, and service-oriented architectures were reshaping how geographic information systems were delivered and consumed.
