Kevin Volz, GISP is a GIS expert with over 15 years of professional experience. He currently leads DVD's GIS department based in southern California where he is responsible for technology, leadership, and high-level project coordination.
Kevin has worked in GIS consulting and management to support large and small municipalities in CA and private businesses throughout the nation. He has experience in various industries including AEC, design, public safety, planning, energy, transportation, real estate, agriculture, and utilities, and regularly contributes to diverse research projects. Kevin is primarily concerned with implementing and leveraging technology and GIS to solve complex issues, increase client and community engagement, and improve our world with better decision-making.
Kevin is a proud alumnus of URISA's Vanguard Cabinet where he served for 3 years helping to support the future growth of the GIS field. He is the current Chair of URISA's Professional Education Committee (PEC) and looks forward to continued growth, participation, collaboration, and innovation.
