Sharing is Caring

Europa Technologies has announced that its award-winning viaEuropa platform now supports all content covered by the Aerial Photography Great Britain (APGB) contract. Awarded by the Geospatial Commission in 2020, APGB is an agreement for the supply of high-resolution aerial imagery and height products to public sector organisations in Great Britain. It sits alongside two other geospatial contracts: the Public Sector Geospatial Agreement (PSGA) for the supply of Ordnance Survey products; and the Public Sector Licence (PSL) for the supply of Royal Mail PAF data.

Europa Technologies can now offer contracted public sector organisations with fast and reliable web services supporting access to over 41TB of APGB content:

• Aerial photography (25cm & 12.5cm best hybrid)

• Colour Infrared Imagery (50cm)

• Digital Terrain Model, DTM (5m)

• Digital Surface Model, DSM (2m)

The hybrid aerial photography layer is available in colour and greyscale versions. The DTM and DSM data is rendered as hill shaded layers in greyscale and with elevation colour (hypsometric) tints.

The viaEuropa APGB services are OGC-compliant and include access via WMTS and WMS. Potential applications include town planning & enforcement, property & facilities management, land use classification & analysis, flood mapping and general cartography.

Warren Vick, Director of Europa Technologies, said, “We are pleased to add support for these exceptional imagery and height data products to our viaEuropa platform. We believe Europa Technologies is the first service provider to support the complete trio of Geospatial Commission agreements: APGB, PSGA and PSL. We are delighted to be the one-stop-shop for fast, reliable and convenient access to all data products covered by these contracts.”
