GEO Jobe has announced the relocation of its Mississippi-based Center for Research and Engineering from Biloxi to a new, larger facility in Gulfport. The move, completed in October 2017, marks a strategic expansion of the company’s Gulf Coast presence and strengthens its capacity for GIS research, development, and enterprise solution delivery.

The Center for Research and Engineering was originally established in Biloxi in 2015 to serve clients throughout the Gulf Coast region while functioning as GEO Jobe’s primary hub for application innovation. The new Gulfport office builds on that foundation, offering expanded space to support continued staff growth and technical advancement.

Stregthening GIS Research and Enterprise Support

The Gulfport facility operates as a full-service office staffed by a multidisciplinary team of GIS professionals. Leadership of the center remains under David Hansen, Vice President of GEO Jobe and Director of the Center for Research and Engineering. In recent months, Hansen has expanded the team with the addition of junior and senior software engineers as well as an enterprise project manager, reinforcing the organization’s development and delivery capabilities.

The center focuses on designing and implementing custom ArcGIS-based solutions for enterprise-scale clients. In addition to client projects, the team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing several widely adopted geospatial applications.

Among these products are Mapfolio and Admin Tools for ArcGIS Online, the latter having received the 2015 Most Innovative ArcGIS Marketplace Award. Admin Tools for ArcGIS Online is currently used by more than 4,000 organizations worldwide. Both applications are available through the ArcGIS Marketplace.

As a long-standing Esri business partner and early adopter of the ArcGIS Online platform, GEO Jobe continues to prioritize innovation within the ArcGIS ecosystem.

Supporting Growth and Innovation

According to Hansen, the expanded Gulfport space will enable continued staff development and increased technical capacity. The relocation provides the physical infrastructure needed to scale operations and further enhance the company’s role in delivering world-class GIS applications and cloud-based solutions.

The new address for the Center for Research and Engineering is:

  • GEO Jobe Center for Research and Engineering
  • 302 Courthouse Rd., Suite C
  • Gulfport, MS
