PCI Geomatics Releases Geomatica Software Update

MARKHAM, Ontario, Canada - February 7, 2018: PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, announced today the release of Service Pack 4 for Geomatica 2017.

 

Geomatica 2017 SP4 includes additional improvements to streamline the ortho mosaic production workflow, including better Tie Point Matching, faster Semi-Global DEM extraction as well as DSM to DTM filtering techniques that can better preserve hills and mountains through large scale gradients.

 

Other key improvements include the updated support for reading and writing LAS, and the addition of LAZ (compressed) lidar data formats. In addition, Gaofen-4 support has been added, and upgraded support has been implemented for Sentinel-1, Cosmo-Skymed, Formosat-2, Kompsat-5 and Landsat 4-7 and Landsat 8.

 

User feedback on improving functionality has been implemented for over 25 different components of the software.

Note: Geomatica SP2 and SP3 were internal releases, the current SP4 includes all up to date features.
