GeoDATA 2015: International Geospatial Seminar Series Set for Record Attendance

GeoAware, the events division of The GeoInformation Group, has announced that registration is now open for the 2015 GeoDATA seminar series. Under the theme “Technology. Tools. Techniques.”, this year’s programme is positioned to be the most extensive in the event’s thirteen-year history, both in geographic reach and anticipated attendance.
The 2015 series will comprise eight one-day seminars hosted across multiple European locations. Events will take place in the Republic of Ireland, England, Belgium (in partnership with GIM nv), The Netherlands (co-hosted by Imagem), Northern Ireland, and Scotland. Amsterdam returns to the schedule, while Cork joins the programme for the first time, reflecting the continued expansion of the series.

Knowledge Sharing and Industry Innovation
The GeoDATA seminars aim to provide professionals who work with geospatial data, software, and services with applicable knowledge they can bring directly into their organisations. The programme emphasizes real-world application, emerging techniques, and the latest technological developments shaping the geospatial industry. Delegates leave with updated perspectives on tools, workflows, and solutions that enhance everyday operations.
Alongside the seminar presentations, each venue hosts a trade exhibition. The exhibition component showcases current commercial developments across the sector, offering attendees direct access to suppliers, technology providers, and service specialists. The face-to-face format enables participants to seek tailored advice, explore new products, and engage with industry peers within a single setting.
A Growing and Diverse Audience
Over time, the demographic profile of GeoDATA attendees has broadened significantly. While early events were largely attended by local government professionals, the audience now spans a wide array of sectors. Representatives from insurance, defence, housing, utilities, telecommunications, and environmental services regularly participate. The seminar series caters both to seasoned GIS practitioners and to professionals newly entering the geospatial field, providing value across experience levels.
Media partners for the 2015 series include GIM International (Geomares) and GeoConnexion. The programme is also supported in association with industry bodies and professional societies including AGI, BCS, ICES, and TSA. Exhibitors and speakers vary by location, ensuring each event reflects both international expertise and regional interests.

Organisations interested in exhibiting can request an exhibitor information pack directly.
While GeoDATA seminars are free to attend for most delegates, a registration fee may apply to GIS software vendors, data suppliers and resellers, mapping organisations, and related commercial entities.
