Intergraph Government Solutions (IGS), the federal subsidiary of Intergraph Corporation, has secured a five-year agreement with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) to provide a comprehensive suite of geospatial software products and ongoing maintenance support.

Under the terms of the contract, NGA will deploy solutions developed by IGS in collaboration with Hexagon Geospatial. The portfolio includes the ERDAS imagery analysis suite, the GeoMedia geographic information system (GIS) platform, and Cartographic Web Services (CWS), among other tools designed to support mission-critical mapping and spatial intelligence workflows.

Accelerating Map Production Through Cloud Technology

A key element of the agreement centers on Cartographic Web Services, a cloud-based system engineered to streamline and modernize map generation processes. By combining automated production techniques with scalable cloud infrastructure, CWS significantly reduces the labor intensity traditionally associated with cartographic output. Internal projections suggest that map production time can be cut by as much as 75 percent compared with legacy workflows.

or NGA and its operational partners, rapid access to accurate geospatial products is fundamental. Mapping outputs frequently inform operational planning, strategic intelligence assessments, and time-sensitive decision-making. Enhancing production efficiency therefore contributes directly to improved mission responsiveness and analytical readiness.

Advanced Imagery and GIS Capabilities

The ERDAS product family delivers sophisticated remote sensing and imagery exploitation tools, enabling analysts to process and interpret complex geospatial datasets. Meanwhile, GeoMedia provides enterprise-level GIS functionality, facilitating data integration, spatial visualization, and multi-layer analysis within secure federal environments.

Together, these platforms create an integrated technology framework that strengthens NGA’s ability to generate high-quality geospatial intelligence across diverse operational contexts.

Joe Fehrenbach, President and Chief Executive Officer of Intergraph Government Solutions, underscored the company’s commitment to delivering consistent performance and service excellence throughout the contract period. The award highlights ongoing cooperation between IGS and NGA in advancing national geospatial capabilities.

Broader Intergraph and Hexagon Structure

Intergraph functions within a wider enterprise technology ecosystem. Intergraph Process, Power & Marine develops enterprise engineering solutions supporting the design and operation of plants, ships, and offshore facilities. Intergraph Security, Government & Infrastructure provides intelligent systems for emergency management, utilities, transportation, and other critical infrastructure sectors.

Intergraph itself operates as part of Hexagon, an international provider of information technologies aimed at enhancing quality, efficiency, and productivity across geospatial and industrial enterprise applications.

Through this long-term contract, Intergraph Government Solutions strengthens its position in federal geospatial intelligence operations, delivering modernized, cloud-enabled mapping technologies designed to support accuracy, speed, and operational effectiveness.
