2019 OGC Gardels Award Presented to Linda van den Brink

At the November 2019 Technical Committee meeting in Toulouse, France, the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) presented its prestigious Kenneth D. Gardels Award to Linda van den Brink in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the advancement of geospatial standards and interoperability.

The Gardels Award is presented annually to individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication to OGC’s mission of connecting people, communities, technology, and decision-making through location-based information. Van den Brink was selected for her extensive work coordinating collaboration between OGC and other international standards organizations, helping to strengthen the adoption and implementation of geospatial standards worldwide.
