The issue addressed in Dr. Huber's series arose from the research of Marc Hoogerwerf at the TNO Institute of Environmental Sciences, Energy Research and Process Innovation. Mr. Hoogerwerf tested Huber's convolution code, and provided all the data.
TNO Institute of Environmental Sciences, Energy Research and Process Innovation is involved in analysing and assessing environmental impact resulting from human activities, industrial processes and the use of products. The institute determines the consequences of emissions of environment-polluting substances on environmental quality, and also determines and controls the risks of catastrophes and continuous emissions.
The institute also contributes to realising sustainable production chains by developing and implementing technology, by conducting strategic studies to rationalise and minimise energy and material consumption use, and by optimising and innovating processes.
Furthermore, the institute is involved in environmental studies and realising sustainable production processes and efficient treatment and remediation technologies.
The TNO Institute of Environmental Sciences, Energy Research and Process Innovation is a nationally and internationally recognized knowledge and contract research institute for trade and industry as well as for all government authorities in the fields of sustainable development and environment-oriented and energy-oriented process innovation
