InSite Vision Redefines Location Planning with Enhanced GIS and Web Access
London, 8 October — CACI has introduced InSite Vision, a major evolution of its long-established location planning and customer analytics platform, InSite. The release delivers a redesigned interface, upgraded analytical capabilities, and expanded accessibility through a new web-enabled offering, InSite Everywhere.
A Modernized Platform for Strategic Location Decisions
For more than 25 years, InSite has supported organizations across retail, property, banking, care, and hospitality sectors in evaluating site performance and identifying expansion opportunities. The system enables users to visualize customer distributions, examine catchment areas, and assess competitor presence, supporting evidence-based decisions about new and existing outlets.
The latest version enhances user interaction while incorporating advanced spatial analysis and mapping technologies. Businesses can now refine location strategies and customer targeting approaches with improved precision, helping to assess market spend, consumer potential, and geographic performance more effectively.
InSite Vision has also been upgraded to the .NET framework, strengthening system stability and ensuring long-term technical sustainability.
InSite Everywhere: Flexible Access Across Devices
Alongside the core release, CACI launched InSite Everywhere, a web-based extension that allows subscribers to access reporting and analytical tools from any internet-enabled device. Whether working from a desktop, laptop, or tablet, users can retrieve market intelligence and location insights without being confined to a single workstation.
Existing customers will receive the new InSite Vision features automatically, while InSite Everywhere is available through a separate subscription agreement.
Martin Salisbury, Director of Location and Field Force Planning at CACI, emphasized that the next-generation platform offers highly tailored solutions for businesses seeking deeper insights into site performance and customer behavior. He noted that mobile accessibility was a direct response to client demand for greater operational flexibility, supported by comprehensive training and ongoing consultancy services.
Integrated GIS Intelligence with Acorn Demographics
InSite Vision incorporates recent advancements in Geographic Information Systems and integrates CACI’s proprietary demographic dataset, Acorn. Acorn segments the UK population into six categories, 18 groups, and 62 types at neighborhood, postcode, and household levels.
By combining Acorn insights with each client’s internal customer data, the platform produces intuitive, actionable reporting. Retailers, financial institutions, and over 200 public sector organizations rely on Acorn to analyze lifestyle patterns, consumer behavior, and service requirements. The data supports customer profiling, prospect identification, market evaluation, and community-focused planning.
Supporting Growth Across Multiple Industries
CACI’s strategic expertise is used by organizations including Debenhams, British Heart Foundation, and British Land. As Europe’s largest location planning consultancy, CACI provides analytics services that help businesses maximize revenue per outlet and guide expansion strategies.
InSite Vision represents the latest iteration of CACI’s GIS-driven site analysis platform, purpose-built for outlet planning and customer insight. With the addition of InSite Everywhere, companies can now access critical location intelligence wherever they operate—supporting agile decision-making in competitive markets.
